The object
The 400NN combines an unusually light body with a large ink capacity and a nib that responds subtly to pressure. Its striped barrel is functional as well as decorative, allowing the remaining ink to be read against the light.
In the hand, the pen feels smaller than many contemporary models. The piston travels smoothly and the cap closes securely with little effort.
A writing instrument
This is not a display piece. It was selected because its design becomes fully understandable only through regular writing.
