The object
The M2 was made as a working camera. Its viewfinder gives priority to the 35 mm frame, its controls are deliberate, and its compact body encourages the photographer to remain inside the scene rather than behind a machine.
The visible wear on this example has been retained. It records handling rather than neglect: softened edges, a polished advance lever and small marks from travel.
Condition and use
The rangefinder is aligned, the shutter has been serviced and the transport runs smoothly. Cosmetic restoration was deliberately avoided.
